This powerful tool helps us to lean not to our own understanding; therefore, developing a faith that will allow blessings to follow us, along with a supernatural spiritual covering that will put our enemies at bay. The Book of Psalms allows us to take biblical prayers and make them our own based on the situation, circumstance, or event that's present in our lives. It also helps us to get on one accord with God, especially when we don't know what to pray for, or how to pray. I have found that some people use the Psalms only when needed; but, in order to receive the best results, we should recite a Psalm every day, especially for giving thanks, or to exercise gratefulness. Although we do not need a degree to have an effective prayer, all we need is the right tools to enable favor and grace to fall upon our prayers. I have found in my Walk with God that using proper protocol, proper technique, along with a little eloquence goes a long way. I am not saying go overboard when praying; all I am saying is to exercise some Biblical Principles, humility, and reverence when praying-God will open up the windows of Heaven, where we will not have room enough to store our blessings, GUARANTEED! Our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ told us Mathew 17:20, 'I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. Why will Jesus give us such an assurance? It is because, the weapon we fight with are not the weapons of the sinful world, we the children of God use divine power of God to tear down the strong hold of the evil one. So we must continue to pray even when you think your answers are not coming as quickly as you wanted. Remember when Martha and Mary send a message to Jesus that Lazarus is sick,' his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick' even though the answer took two days to get to the sisters. The most important thing is that Jesus was called and that is when action was put in process and they did not put their request on the righteousness of Lazarus or his status in the ministry or how hard he works or even what he has given to the Church. The appeal was based on the love of Jesus Christ. 'The one whom you love is sick,' that is our clue; we must always focus our prayers on the love of God. We also have the confidence that God will answer our prayers if they are in agreement with His will. So I know that anything I ask that is according to His will be answered no matter how sinful the person praying may be. Even though we don't always get yes, but His answer are always in our best interest. And we don't have to follow any secret incantation before praying or offer some unnecessary repetition while praying. And the eloquence of our prayer will not make God answer our prayer. That is why in Matthew 6:7-8, Jesus rebukes those who pray using repetitions, 'And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.' 'The Word of God is full of accounts describing the power of prayer in various situations. The power of prayer has overcome enemies (Psalm 6:9-10), conquered death (2 Kings 4:3-36), brought healing (James 5:14-15), and defeated demons (Mark 9:29). God, through prayer, opens eyes, changes hearts, heals wounds, and grants wisdom (James 1:5). The power of prayer should never be underestimated because it draws on the glory and might of the infinitely powerful God of the universe! Daniel 4:35 proclaims, 'All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth.
